Open Water Coaching now available

We are delighted to let you know that open water venues are now starting to open up and coaching sessions via The Flipper Club are now available in open water venues in Surrey.

The open water is great to learn new swimming practices and skills. Sessions include: introducing you to open water swimming, open water skills such as, sighting, buoy turns, drafting, as well as, effects of different weather conditions, water safety and swimming in the open water environment as a whole.

Each open water venue has robust procedures in place to keep us all safe during this time including social distancing measures and reduced capacity in the water, keeping sessions relaxed, safe and well spaced.

The open water coaching sessions are available to any adults and juniors that can competently and continuously swim in a swimming pool. You don’t need to have previous open water experience - the session will be tailored to your needs and abilities - for complete beginners we’ll introduce you to the open water or indeed if you are a seasoned open water swimmer we can fine tune your skills or help you train for an event.

At this time we can not take non-swimmers into the water. The entry level will be based on ability not age - swimmers must be able to swim 200m continuously and competently.

So let’s get swimming! We are currently taking 1:1 coaching sessions, 1:2 and small group sessions.

If you are interested, please get in touch.

We look forward to seeing you in the water soon!
